Install / remove your SIM

Important

  • Always power off the device before inserting/removing the SIM.
  • Handle the SIM by the edges (don’t touch the gold contacts).

Install the SIM

  1. Turn the device off and unplug power (if applicable).
  2. Open the SIM slot/cover (portable devices may be under the battery cover).
  3. Insert the SIM in the correct orientation (it only fits one way).
  4. Close the cover firmly.
  5. Power on and wait 2–3 minutes for the connection to initialise.

Remove the SIM

  1. Turn the device off.
  2. Open the SIM slot/cover.
  3. Gently release/remove the SIM.
  4. Close the cover before powering on again.

If it won’t connect after fitting the SIM

  • Restart the device once more.
  • Remove and reinsert the SIM (double-check orientation).
  • Move the device near a window for stronger signal.
