1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you can and can’t do when using Next Day Broadband services and any related devices. It exists to protect customers, networks, and the wider internet.

2. You are responsible

You are responsible for all activity carried out using your service and/or device, including any websites visited, content accessed, files downloaded, or communications sent.

3. Prohibited use

You must not use our services or devices to:

  • Commit or facilitate any unlawful activity (UK law applies).
  • Access, create, store, distribute, or transmit illegal, abusive, or harmful content.
  • Send spam, unsolicited marketing, phishing messages, or scams.
  • Distribute malware/viruses or attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or networks.
  • Perform or support denial-of-service attacks, scanning, probing, or other disruptive behaviour.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights (e.g., copyright infringement).
  • Resell, sublet, re-rent, or otherwise provide the service to third parties where not expressly permitted in writing by us.
  • Tamper with, modify, repair, or interfere with any equipment or service without written approval.
  • Use the service for life-critical, life-dependent, emergency, or safety-critical functions.

4. Network provider policies

Our services rely on third-party network providers. Their acceptable use, security, and fair usage policies may also apply, and may take priority where network usage is abused or causes harm.

5. Content controls & age-restricted content

Some networks apply age/content restrictions by default. If you require content controls to be enabled/disabled, contact us. You remain responsible for supervising access to the internet where children or vulnerable users may be involved.

6. Monitoring & enforcement

Usage may be monitored by networks and their systems for operational, security, and fraud reasons. If we suspect misuse or a breach of this AUP, we may take action including:

  • Warning you and requesting you stop the activity
  • Restricting, suspending, or terminating services
  • Blocking certain traffic or access where necessary
  • Reporting unlawful activity to relevant authorities where required
